Hello, I would love to win a copy of your book!! I’m mixed also; my mom is white and dad is black. I’m a med light brown like Hallie Berry. I never really had problems growing up because I live in Miami. Which is a mostly Latino population. Everyone assumes I’m latina not thinking that there are black people in Latin America. Well, I didn’t really fit into either side black or white. Either I wasn’t light enough or black enough. I have long curly hair and white features. I always say I’m bi-racial. I’m married to a browned skinned black man. We have a nine yr old daughter which is brown. And also a five year old boy; who looked white with blue eyes until about three when his hair was no longer blond but brown. And his eyes are not blue but, more hazel now. They do turn blue when he’s mad or in the pool lol. I think its amazing how genes work..wow..someone can be as light as Mariah Carey or darker then Hallie..its cool to be mixed I think..it just keeps them wondering..wink I would love to hear about your experiences as a mixed woman.
Thank you,
